Program Security Analyst (5512)
About the role
SMX is seeking an extremely detail-oriented and diligent analyst to provide comprehensive support for a project centered around secure financials. The ideal candidate will be comfortable executing processes for all aspects of Personnel Security and working with a multi-disciplinary team to create, author, and brief repeatable frameworks and analyses. These frameworks will focus on providing insights into potential vulnerabilities, stakeholder requirements, and necessary evolutions to a client’s portfolio with the goal of identifying, understanding, and mitigating different types of risks.
The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, willing to own the processes and projects for which they have responsibility, understand the context in which they operate, and advocate for improvements. They should be capable of working independently to ensure both processes and projects run smoothly while also collaborating with a government and contractor team.
Responsibilities
- Manage visitor and resident access control and badging.
- Provide administrative and business process support for processing Program Access requests.
- Deliver applicable security education and training for employees.
- Provide technical and planning support for SAP security meetings and other events, including:
- Coordination of meetings and visit access requests.
- Drafting meeting agendas, slide decks, and talking points.
- Setup, attendance tracking, operation of VTC equipment, taking meeting notes, recording and tracking action items.
- Finalizing and distributing minutes.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to help create, implement, refine, and disseminate mixed-method frameworks and approaches.
- Update or create required documentation (e.g., policies, security classification guides) to achieve outcomes.
- Independently facilitate workshops, meetings, and trainings across the lifecycle of a project.
- Provide briefings on projects, processes, and analyses as required.
- Translate client gaps, needs, and questions into cohesive projects, tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
- Serve as a liaison to subject matter experts across highly diverse mission fields.
- Provide advice and recommendations to client leadership and other cross-organizational management.
Requirements
- Extremely detail-oriented, capable of running security processes end-to-end, noting key details, extracting next tasks, and identifying gaps in datasets.
- Able to work independently to pull together security reports and briefings along with other deliverables, drawing from disparate meetings, emails, documents, etc. Deliverables will be expected to go directly for senior review.
- Able to demonstrate a capability-building mindset, building a security capability from the ground up.
- Customer service-oriented and an excellent communicator in multiple formats (writing, verbal, etc.).
- Familiarity with SAPCO (Army SAPCO ideal).
- Demonstrated stakeholder management experience.
- Wargaming and analysis experience.
- Task leadership experience.
Desired Skills
- Finance and PPBE familiarity.
- Knowledge of secure business operational activities.
Pay
The proposed salary for this position is $125,000 USD - $195,000 USD.
