About the role
This position is part of the Kinetic Effects Business Area within the Leidos Defense Systems Sector and offers the opportunity to contribute to critical national defense initiatives. This exciting role provides direct scheduling contribution to critical programs and related portfolios of work.
Responsibilities
- Apply scheduling theory/practice to develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related artifacts in compliance with applicable standards and policies such as EVM standard EIA-748 and industry best practices (e.g., PASEG, NDIA).
- Create “what-if/impact” scenarios within the schedule that inform program leadership and enrich programmatic decisions.
- Serve as a scheduling team member in assisting stakeholders with issue identification & resolution solutions.
- Implement practices to align the time phasing and plans for resources with the IMS to provide an integrated technical, schedule, and resource / cost baseline and forecast/ ETC for programs.
- Develop scheduling artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements.
- Monitor, analyze, and report performance against baseline schedules to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
- Provide scheduling support to EVM COE and programs for internal and external audits, reviews, and application of resulting corrective actions.
Requirements
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant industry experience; additional years of experience, certifications and training will be taken into consideration.
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
- Full understanding of concepts, principles, and standards of industry best practices within the programmatic scheduling discipline.
- Intermediate expertise using Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Intermediate to advanced expertise using Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for Microsoft Project.
- Utilization of MS Project Macros.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
