Program Representative - Construction Support

About the role

The largest and most important construction program in Electric Boat’s history is expanding, and you can be part of the team that leads it. Construction efforts on the lead ship COLUMBIA are ramping up, and we need exceptional people to lead the program.

Responsibilities

• Lead the functional areas of EB with the goal of achieving all program objectives.
• Approve critical decisions involving cost and schedule, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Continuously measure each functional area's performance against objectives and initiate prompt corrective action.
• Represent EB to the Navy (Ship's Force/SOSG/PMS397) for Program issues.
• Develop comprehensive build assessments, providing critical inputs that shape the final construction plan.
• Manage the work in front of the production efforts to address new process start-up, build sequence changes, material availability or the need for fixtures or special test procedures etc to prevent challenges from becoming issues to the construction team.
• Track performance using essential tools like IMCS Data, 3G and 7G reports.
• Engage with all levels of management to report progress, seek assistance and manage activities.
• Work directly with Advance Planning, Operations and supporting functional areas to support execution of serial production for module assembly at QP to Super Module shipout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering or Technical Field
• Preferred 5+ years of experience in Ship Construction, Engineering, Planning or Design
• PMP Certification
• Previous rotations or shipyard experience, understanding of CLB construction processes
