About the role
The Program Representative will join the Special Projects Program Office, focusing on the development of Ship Alterations within the Multi-Mission Platform on the SSN-23, as contracted by various Navy customers. Responsibilities include budgeting, cost control, planning, scheduling, and execution of all assigned projects.
This role involves interfacing with design, engineering, and other departments to develop estimates for new work, procurement of material, manufacturing, and more. The candidate will collaborate with Groton management, off-site project offices, contract representatives, and the NAVSEA Program Office.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage budgets, cost control measures, and financial planning for assigned projects.
- Plan, schedule, and execute ship alteration projects within the Multi-Mission Platform on the SSN-23.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, and procurement teams to develop project estimates and secure materials.
- Interface with internal management, off-site project offices, contract representatives, and NAVSEA Program Office.
- Perform hands-on work as needed to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule planning tools for project tracking and reporting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of submarine program experience.
- 2+ years of program office-related experience in tasking, tracking, funding, scheduling, or reporting.
- Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- 2 or 4-year degree or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Electronic desktop tools (PCM/EWP/ELCADD), Oracle, ARTEMIS, and MRP systems.
- Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience working with schedule planning tools.
- Basic knowledge of EB Programs and Projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
