Program Quality Engineer

About the role

Within the Program Quality Team, for assigned activities, act as owner and POC for issue resolution for all Quality Assurance aspects of the program. Support customer meetings and follow-up actions. Coordinate cross-functional team reviews of rejections and issues to determine whether product is conforming with applicable specifications, including containment of suspect product. Facilitate root cause analysis and action plan closure to correct and prevent recurrence. Prepare and submit concession packages in accordance to program requirements. Facilitate return processing and coordination of rework/repair efforts. Identify and facilitate management system improvements to better support program requirements. In coordination with the integrated program team, be responsive to customer inquiries within a very limited timeframe to ensure product is properly dispositioned and work continues to progress through successful delivery to the customer. Eliminate process variation and product defects through creative solutions. Capture and analyze data to find trends. Use the data to drive decisions. Effectively prepare communications and presentations to all levels of personnel from operators to senior leadership. Participate/lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance on-time, quality delivery of product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Manufacturing Quality
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 5-10% of time)

Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Quality experience, including knowledge of ISO9000 or AS9100 and AS9145
• Understanding of lean principles and root cause analysis problem-solving methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, standards, and engineering drawings
• Positive attitude and leadership characteristics
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Able to work both individually and as part of a team
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools
