About the role

Manages the implementation and execution of program quality requirements. Responsible for all aspects of Quality across the programs life-cycle including proposals, contract review, start-up, development, transition to production, production and support.

Responsibilities

  • Understands quality tasks across quality functions including hardware, software, systems, suppliers/subcontractors, and customer needs.
  • Partners with program teams for design, development, production and mobilization phases of program execution.
  • Performs contract reviews and flows down contract quality requirements to other quality teams, and suppliers.
  • Ensures Quality Assurance Plans are documented, current and implemented.
  • Participates in assessments (e.g. quality audits) and may perform independent reviews to understand risks in order to drive Return to Green plans.
  • Maintains a Customer quality relationship to understand and support their needs.
  • Performs Quality Engineering roles and responsibilities for Remote Sensing, National Security Space Line of Business supporting ATLO, Manufacturing, Subcontractors, and Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • Experience with non-conformance processing and anomaly resolution.
  • Active DoD/TS or TS/SCI w/Poly QMRB Certification.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
  • Experience working in a SCIF.
  • Knowledge of SAP, EPDM, AF, VRICs & GD&T.
  • Quality Planning Certification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of satellite systems including Electronics, Mechanisms, Structures, and Thermal hardware.
  • Oversight of Quality Management Systems with implementation of AS9100.
  • Experience with Suppliers and Supply Chain including Audit experience.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion (2+ years of relevant quality engineering experiences).

Qualifications

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing/test or associated quality processes.

Skills

  • Ability to determine Root Cause & facilitate effective Corrective Action.
  • Ability to work with engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing work instructions, or test procedures.
