Program & Project Delivery Manager I
Role Purpose / Overview
Ensure effective planning, execution, and delivery of programs/projects across the region. Oversee the regional project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business strategy and delivery partner priorities. Coordinate resource planning, capacity forecasting, and allocation across project teams. Drive delivery excellence, ensuring quality of deliverables, methodology adoption, and process consistency. Act as a key enabler supporting the Delivery Partner in regional execution governance.
Core Responsibilities
A. Program & Project Delivery - Oversee end-to-end delivery of regional projects following global BT standards. - Establish and maintain delivery plans, schedules, dependencies, and milestones. - Ensure risk, issue, and change management processes are applied consistently. - Provide project managers with guidance on methodologies (PMI/Agile). - Maintain transparent and accurate reporting for project progress, schedule adherence, and budget utilization. - Lead and facilitate key project-related events and workshops to drive collaboration, decision-making, and alignment.
B. Portfolio Management - Maintain the regional project portfolio, enabling prioritization and capacity alignment. - Support budget planning, project estimation, and actuals tracking. - Deliver consolidated portfolio reporting (status, KPIs, risks, escalations).
C. Resource & Capacity Management - Maintain a regional resource plan, ensuring availability and skill alignment. - Coordinate between functional towers, BT partners, and delivery teams. - Provide headcount and capacity insights to support demand planning.
D. Delivery Quality Assurance - Ensure quality gates, testing processes, and readiness assessments are executed. - Conduct post-implementation reviews and manage lessons learned. - Promote continuous improvement across delivery practices.
E. Stakeholder & Governance Support - Engage with the Delivery Partner and senior business stakeholders. - Support governance forums (steerco, portfolio reviews). - Provide transparency, structured information, and proactive recommendations.
Required Competencies
Technical & Process - Strong knowledge of project/program management frameworks. - Experience with portfolio management tooling and governance. - Familiarity with resource planning, capacity management, and forecasting. - Understanding of ERP or large-scale business system implementations (SAP/ERP preferable).
Leadership & Soft Skills - Excellent planning and organizational skills. - Ability to influence without authority. - Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving. - Skilled in senior stakeholder communication and negotiation. - Self-motivated, adaptable, resilient and result oriented
Experience & Education Requirements
Typically 10+ years’ experience in project/program management. - Demonstrated experience managing multi-country or multi-team delivery. - Demonstrated experience or strong understanding of agriculture commodities trading & processing industry is a plus. - Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field (IT, Business, Engineering). - Certifications desirable: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum Master.
