About the role

The Program/Project Analyst provides entry-level professional program administration and basic analysis, including gathering, compiling, and analyzing data; coordinating project and meeting logistics; and facilitating communication. This role supports the Strategic Planning and Quality unit by assisting with social media, blog development, website updates, committee meetings, and project tracking.

This position reports to the Program Administrator and works closely with the Program Project Principal to administer social media, blog posts, website updates, and provide general administrative and meeting support.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Lifelong Communities (LLC) program initiatives and technical assistance by engaging partners, convening regional stakeholders, and developing resources to support LLCs.
  • Implement the Live Beyond Expectations (LBE) Regional Strategic Plan to address social and economic needs in lower life expectancy census tracts, including creating presentations, writing reports, conducting community engagement, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Conduct annual research through surveys, focus groups, and interviews; facilitate community engagement sessions; oversee mini-grant program administration; and build relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs) and stakeholders.
  • Support deployment of the Age-Friendly Regional Plan by assisting with strategy, implementation, and adoption of age-friendly practices by local governments and community organizations.
  • Translate sociological, gerontological, urban studies, and public health scholarship into regional planning guidance.
  • Represent Aging and Independence Services to the public, internal staff, partners, and stakeholders; respond to inquiries; and participate in committees and advisory boards.
  • Maintain and create content for Empowerline.org, including web pages, forms, calendar events, blog posts, and other site features.
  • Manage social media content and presence; collaborate with ARC’s communication team to design and disseminate new materials related to Empowerline.
  • Assist in coordinating Area Plan on Aging updates, including managing plan submissions, facilitating public hearings, collating feedback, and updating presentations for the Advisory Committee on Aging and ARC Board.
  • Complete bi-monthly minutes for Advisory Committee on Aging (ACA) meetings.
  • Provide technical assistance for Aging Tech/DDS Database/ePro Support, including maintaining user access, generating reports, and distributing data.
  • Perform basic analysis of program information for the LBE Strategic Plan, Age-Friendly Regional Plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and policy briefs.
  • Update Empowerline with events, calendar activities, and A&IS social media accounts.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Strategic Planning and Quality team, including meeting support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in gerontology, social work, public health, human services, planning, business or public administration, or a directly related field, plus one year of related experience (which may include internship experience).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job may be accepted.

Skills

  • Experience gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Proficiency in creating and posting social media content and updating websites (WordPress).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and agency stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and facilitation skills.
  • Proficient in standard office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and related software applications.
