Job Description
The Production Planner interfaces with multiple departments and organizations, and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule.
Qualifications
- Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in project or program execution techniques preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
Essential Functions
- Perform critical path analysis to identify and mitigate delays that could impact production schedules.
- Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software.
- Cook up and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.
- Identify and create goals that lead to the successful completion of project deliverables within the allotted time.
- Effectively communicate detailed schedule development to stakeholders, department leads, production management, and executive management.
- Perform detailed schedule, risk, and continuous improvement-based analysis to identify, develop, and drive solutions.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lifts, twists, and rotates with 32 pounds on a consistent basis.
Work Schedule
Works overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift hours as needed by program.
