About the role
Lead Personnel Security (PERSEC) functions for the customer, including overseeing personnel security operations for SAP and SCI programs, reviewing and submitting nominations, indoctrinations, debriefings, access management, and clearance verification.
Responsibilities
- Provide review and guidance for vendor SAP facilities and hardware/software accreditation
- Guide Government personnel in their security reporting requirements, including review, validation, and submission of SF-85 and SF-86P investigations
- Guide Government personnel in the use of e-QIP
- Work with vendors to ensure compliance of PERSEC tasks and requirements
- Conduct security awareness briefings and provide guidance to Government personnel, vendors, and external customers on badging and security procedures
- Create Government personnel compliance and operational reports supporting background investigations as needed
- Act as main Security point on contract for Government led events, including badging and clearance checks
- Generate and review of DD Form 254 & security classification guides (SCGs)
- Provide review and guidance in the development of Operation Security (OPSEC) plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in security related field, such as Criminal Justice
- 10 years related experience
- Experience in all aspects of PERSEC duties and tasks in DoD SAP and SCI environments, including managing personnel security including review, validation, and submission of SF-85 and SF-86P
- Experience with key security documentation including SCGs, DD254 and OPSEC plans
- Experience with the generation and implementation of OPSEC plans
- Experience with DoD SAP security approval processed and personnel for personnel access, facility ATO, DD254s and OPSEC plans
- Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and rolled in the Continuous Vetting program (if applicable)
- Willingness to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs and consent to a polygraph examination (as required)
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in security related field or management/leadership
- Experience with overseeing “authorization to operate” (ATO) execution and approval for facilities and delivered hardware / software
- Experience with CSSO functions
- Experience in overseeing SAP security facilities
- Experience with Government SCI access approval process and personnel
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of SAP systems and processes
