SpringboardAI bridges the gap between nonprofits and AI adoption through live training that moves mission-driven professionals from reluctance to confident use in a single 90-minute session. Following a successful 2026 pilot with 510 nonprofit professionals, we are scaling to train thousands of nonprofit staff each week and building the sector’s leading AI Resource & Referral Hub. This is an early-stage opportunity to contribute to our first product launch later this year.

About the role

The Program and Operations Associate supports day-to-day execution at SpringboardAI and will be heavily involved in launching our first training program in Fall 2026. As an early member of a startup team, your work will be broad and fluid, spanning revenue support, program delivery, and operations. You’ll collaborate with internal team members, external funding partners, trainers, and platform/technical providers.

Responsibilities

  • Fundraising & Development Support
    • Identify and research prospective funders: By month 1, define criteria with the Founder/CEO and fundraiser, identify 25 funders, and prepare backgrounders including contact info and email scripts.
    • Support funder meetings: Ensure meeting materials (briefing docs, decks, logistics) are prepared on time and error-free.
    • Maintain CRM: Keep the database error-free, consistent, and updated with staged, dated individual contacts and next steps for weekly team review.
    • Own funder inquiry responses: By month 2, define and execute a process for funding inquiries, serving as the primary point of contact and responding within 1 business day.
  • Registration & Platform Operations
    • Define, document, and manage the registration workflow: Create an approved, written, and repeatable SOP by launch.
    • Run all onboarding workflows and answer registration questions within ½ day (independently by month 4).
    • Build and maintain a registration FAQ based on insights from workflow management by month 2.
    • Set up and maintain the platform database (registrants and participants) plus reporting: Ensure data accuracy and non-duplication by launch + 3 weeks; build reports for analyzing metrics with the COO.
    • Live session troubleshooting: Contribute to real-time technical/logistical problem-solving during practice and live sessions.
    • Operate with a continuous improvement mindset: Identify potential fixes for repeated issues in processes or platforms, assessing the cost and value of solutions.
    • Learn to use and maintain the website and platforms on a timely basis.
  • Admin & Other
    • Support CEO/founder and fundraiser with scheduling and other admin requests within agreed turnaround windows; zero missed deadlines by month 3.
    • Process improvement: By month 4, demonstrate proactive and independent problem-solving, identify and implement suggestions for organizational improvement, and solicit regular feedback from leadership.

Qualifications

We seek a candidate who is curious, flexible, and comfortable in a startup environment where requirements may be ambiguous and evolving. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a customer-focused orientation and a continuous-improvement mindset with high standards for detail and accuracy.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor under pressure, especially during live sessions.
  • Demonstrate strong judgment and communication skills when working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Show enthusiasm for AI’s impact in the social sector and comfort using new tools to drive efficiency.

Logistics

  • Location: Primarily remote with high overlap in PST business hours. The team is based in the Bay Area; in-person meetings 1-2x per month if local.
  • Employment Type: Full-time (part-time considered). Full-time includes benefits such as PTO and healthcare.
  • Reports to: COO
