About the role
The Program Manager supports the FAA Customer on the Tower Simulations System Enhancement 2 program. This is a fully remote position with no onsite requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage a Firm Fixed Price contract responsible for the installation of Air Traffic Control (ATC) simulators at dozens of distributed locations, including all visual database and scenario development activities.
- Serve as liaison between account management, the customer, and distributed teams.
- Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance.
- Establish project management principles consistent with standard policies, procedures, standards, and toolsets, leveraging best practices.
- Mentor and support project teams, enhance consistency, provide benchmarks, reduce risks, and improve quality across projects.
- Report on program level schedule, quality, and adherence to agreed-upon standards.
- Develop budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements, participate in and establish program plan requirements, and monitor and report performance against plans to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with customers, site leads, and teams.
- Ensure contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished, including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract.
- Assess and mitigate risks, maintain customer relationships, and manage program staffing.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Escalate challenges to SAIC leadership.
- Define and contribute to the program baseline and execute the program to comply with baseline requirements.
- Support business development and program staff management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Master's degree and sixteen (16) years or more of related experience.
