About the role

The Office of Global Outreach and Extended Education (GOEE) develops innovative professional education programs that extend the impact of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering beyond traditional degree programs. Working with faculty, industry, government, and academic partners, GOEE designs and delivers workforce development, executive education, corporate training, and lifelong learning programs that help individuals and organizations build practical skills for today's rapidly evolving workforce in areas such as semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, engineering leadership, sustainability, and other emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of professional education and workforce development programs aligned with industry needs and organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with Product Manager to validate market research, identify new program opportunities, and contribute to grant-funded initiatives and strategic workforce development efforts.
  • Develop project plans and coordinate activities to move programs from concept through launch while balancing timelines, resources, and stakeholder needs.
  • Career Development & Portfolio Support
  • Coordinate the successful delivery and ongoing management of assigned programs by overseeing operational planning, faculty and partner communications, learner experience, and launch readiness.
  • Maintain program budgets, documentation, reporting, and operational tracking tools while monitoring progress and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of GOEE priorities.
  • Program Leadership & Partnership
  • Supervise program support staff by providing coaching, performance management, work prioritization, and professional development to ensure high-quality program delivery.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with domestic and international industry and government, as well as faculty and institutional academic partners to support program planning, implementation, and long-term engagement.
  • Represent GOEE in meetings with external partners and stakeholders, including international collaborators, requiring occasional flexibility to accommodate different time zones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience developing or managing professional education, workforce development, executive education, continuing education, or corporate training programs.
  • Experience collaborating with faculty, instructional designers, industry partners, or other stakeholders to develop educational programs.
  • Experience developing proposals, budgets, scopes of work, grant-funded initiatives, or business cases.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs or complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading professional staff or project teams.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, adult learning principles, or instructional design processes.
  • Experience using learning management systems, CRM platforms, AI enabled tools and resources, Smartsheet, Airtable, and data reporting tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and the ability to quickly learn new technical subject areas while supporting innovative workforce development programs.

Pay

$57,900.00 - $78,500 per year; DOE
