We are seeking a Program Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA, focusing on large capital improvement programs in water infrastructure or transportation projects. This role involves federal regulatory compliance, infrastructure rehabilitation, capacity expansion, and environmental protection.
About the role
- Oversee and manage the development and implementation of large capital improvement programs valued at $1.0B+.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the public agency.
- Responsible for the oversight of a multi-disciplined program management delivery team.
- Coordinate resources, budgets, schedules, and ensure successful deliverables across projects.
- Manage program planning, execution, and reporting for multiple programs.
- Coordinate internal and external resources for program success.
- Lead risk management, change management, and quality assurance.
- Support financial tracking and ensure sustainable margins.
- Build and maintain client relationships, acting on feedback and change requests.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting program management best practices or centers of excellence within an engineering organization.
- Willingness to report onsite to the client’s location up to 3 days per week, as dictated by the client.
Requirements
- 15+ years of professional experience; 10+ years in project or program management, including substantial experience with multi-project delivery.
- Experience developing best practice reporting and monitoring capabilities through standardized reports and dashboards focused on project delivery and program management.
- Ideal candidate has worked with or has prior experience with large water/wastewater public agencies or large CIP public programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred; MBA a plus.
- Professional registration in field of practice is desired or required where applicable (e.g., PE, AICP, RA, RLA).
- Certification as PMP or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) desired within one year of hire.

Pay
Expected compensation range is between $175,000 - $185,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
