About the role
The Program Manager plays a crucial role in the Northwestern Medicine Transplant Program Development Team. They are responsible for developing and managing various projects, ensuring accurate documentation, and fostering strong client and team relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage projects including budgets, resource allocation, information distribution, meeting facilitation, and performance reporting
- Utilize project management tools for planning, procurement, and budgeting
- Participate in analyst activities such as requirements analysis, resource identification, solution definition, white paper development, implementation/work plan development, design, system testing, training plans, and rollout strategies
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope to minimize exposure and risk
- Prepare and review deliverables for leadership approval, ensuring completeness, currency, and appropriate storage of project documents
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements
- Oversee the development, outreach, and access-to-care activities of the transplant program
- Lead the Program Development Team, including transplant nurse coordinators, licensed clinical social workers, health literacy coaches, and medical assistants
- Build relationships with community gastroenterologists and their staff to promote Northwestern Medicine's liver transplant services and increase referrals
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Communications, or related field
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent oral and communication skills
- Preferred: Master’s degree in MBA or MHA
