Program Manager - Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

Kleinfelder's Geotechnical team is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Program Manager. The position will focus on one of our major retail clients, managing projects across the Central Division and based in any of our offices in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up and communicate with internal or external clients to understand their needs
  • Manage a portfolio of Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing projects meeting client and company requirements for safety, budget, quality and schedule
  • Safely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support
  • Mentor and manage junior staff and project level geotechnical professionals through project performance
  • Perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and independent analysis
  • Cook up and manage medium to large size multi-disciplined projects with guidance and interaction by senior operations/technical staff
  • Prepare or review designs, reports and calculations on complex projects

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License, with the ability to achieve registration in multiple states
  • A positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills in areas including: soil and rock classification, seismic evaluations, slope stability analysis, earth retention systems, shallow and deep foundation design, construction support, and soil improvement techniques
  • Experience with pipeline, power transmission

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Schedule

Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized and have a keen sense of detail. Candidate must be willing to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed.
