Program Manager, Policy, Compliance and Conflicts

About the role

The Program Manager assists the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer (CECO) in developing and implementing corporate compliance programs related to policy, state and federal regulatory compliance, and conflicts of interest. This role leads and provides expert technical assistance on highly visible, sensitive, and multifaceted projects, balancing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

The Program Manager focuses on the university’s policy program, regulatory compliance coordination, and the comprehensive and decentralized conflicts of interest/commitment disclosure process. They serve as the primary or secondary investigator on cases involving potential violations of university policy and perform ad hoc duties as requested by the CECO.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting the strategic direction of the policy, compliance, and conflicts monitoring programs.
• Develop project plans and provide high-quality project management, analytic support, and technical expertise.
• Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring progress monitoring and communication.
• Develop and implement regulatory compliance monitoring programs.
• Investigate potential violations of university policy.
• Perform data analysis, problem-solving, and interpretation of complex scenarios.
• Create and use systematic approaches to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
• Foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility across faculty, staff, and students.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor.
• 4–6 years of experience in a similar field, such as compliance, risk management, legal, or internal audit within higher education, research, or a regulated industry.
• Experience investigating policy-related concerns or human resource issues.
• Certification in Compliance (e.g., CCEP, CHC, LPEC) or ability to obtain within the first 12 months of employment.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations governing research, privacy, or other university operations.
• Experience analyzing regulations, data, and trends, including statistical analysis.
• Significant experience leading cross-functional teams and managing unique, diverse projects.

Pay

$80,000 – $90,000
