The way we share ideas, learning, experiences, successes, and joy allows everyone to be their best at Ascendion.Job Title: Program Manager - Non-Tech IVLocation:La Porte, Northern Indiana (Hybrid: 2-3 days on-site)Contract Duration:18 months (Target Start: ASAP)Role OverviewJoin a large-scale data center delivery program for a global enterprise client. This role offers tremendous flexibility and variety, overseeing critical utility service scopes—including transmission, distribution, and substation delivery. You will serve as the primary on-site liaison, tracking equipment deliveries, photographing construction progress, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure milestones are achieved safely and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the Single Point of Contact for utility service providers, managing all utility and substation scope while securing cross-functional engineering sign-offs.Facilitate weekly design and progress meetings with engineering, construction, energy teams, and local permitting authorities.Track purchase orders, establish budgets, manage cost estimates, and ensure all new scope routes through formal change management before proceeding.Publish and maintain a detailed project schedule, identify critical path activities, verify long-lead equipment delivery dates, and actively mitigate delays.Conduct weekly quality and safety site walks, providing updated progress reports to the wider engineering and project management teams.Coordinate pre-energization walks and submit comprehensive safety and Method of Procedure plans before energization.Qualifications & RequirementsProven background as a Power Utility Construction Manager, ideally with major infrastructure or data center experience.Proficiency with Bluebeam and Primavera P6, along with experience using AutoCAD and BIM360 for design coordination.Must provide and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a Class 2 safety helmet, composite toe leather work boots (minimum 4-inch over ankle), and high-visibility weather gear.
