Program Manager - Neuro Genetics - Neuroscience Institute

About the Role

Dyad partner with the Neuroscience Institute Neuro Genetics' Program Medical Director (MD) and APRN in developing, expanding, improving, and sustaining the program to achieve recognized local, regional, and national Center of Excellence (COE) status. Responsible for the development, implementation, review, and revision of Program standards, policies, procedures, and protocols. Builds Program structure to meet accreditation and certification body standards, national registry elements, and U.S. News and World Report standards for top ranking. Supports clinical and treatment databases, investigators' activities, and multidisciplinary clinics while delivering patient navigation across the continuum and lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an active member of the Neuroscience Institute Leadership Team.
• Develops financial, growth, satisfaction, and clinical metrics to reflect Program performance.
• Directs and participates in special projects promoting growth, efficiency, and operations of the program.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to develop operational and strategic goals aligned with certifying bodies (e.g., Angelman Foundation, IRSF, Dup 15 Alliance).
• Works in a dyad leadership role with the Neuro Genetics' Medical Director to coordinate the development, implementation, review, and revision of Program standards, policies, procedures, and protocols based on clinical practice guidelines.
• Co-leads Neuro Genetics Leadership and operations meetings, including agenda/minutes, clinical metrics reports, action items, timelines, and post-multidisciplinary clinic meetings for patient care planning.
• Prepares patients for Multi-Disciplinary Clinic, ensuring appropriateness of setting and availability of testing results.
• Performs follow-up care coordination, including concierge appointment setting, complex authorizations, and school forms for post-clinic needs.
• Follows all Program patients during inpatient admissions and navigates their return to outpatient care.
• Contributes to and supports execution of the Program and Institute's Strategic Plan.
• Maintains a clinical dashboard tracking outcomes in clinical, functional/QOL, and perception of care domains.
• Identifies trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, maintaining two ongoing QI initiatives.
• Supports financial dashboard improvements against targets.
• Reviews neuro-genetic-related order sets annually with Medical Directors, Nurse Navigator, and the Neuro Genetic Program committee.
• Monitors compliance with neuro-genetic metrics, scorecards, and national epilepsy regulations/guidelines.
• Identifies and participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Partners with Clinical Education to address staff educational needs around target metrics and new guidelines/treatments.
• Engages in COE presentations, publications, and talks.
• Accountable for U.S. News and World Report Neurology metric reporting to achieve top ranking.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Genetics, Genetic Counseling, or a health-related field.
• Less than 2 years of clinical experience with the neuroscience population, genetics, or program development.

• Lean certification and experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
