Responsibilities

• Serve as the strategic thought partner to the Global Program Lead (GPL) and core team to establish a high-performing team environment.
• Execute the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) per asset indication, partnering with sub-teams to ensure alignment with the Target Product Profile (TPP) and clear accountability for deliverables.
• Lead matrixed Program Management team members to create and maintain integrated cross-functional timelines, including scenario plans to manage risk, evaluate alternative strategies, and identify acceleration or cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead risk management activities at the Global Program Team (GPT) level and ensure timely escalation of high-probability, high-impact risks from sub-teams. Deliver the risk management plan, including mitigation strategies.
• Monitor high-level direct budget and resource health for assigned assets and indications, advocating for resources required to deliver the IDP per governance approval.
• Act as a Program Management subject matter expert in discussions with leadership or at governance stage gates.
• Support GPT annual objective processes and budget planning, including annual and long-term portfolio processes.
• May serve as a matrix manager for Program Management resources assigned to the asset.
• Support Drug Development (DD) PM Portfolio Leads to deliver asset or portfolio content as required.
• Foster cross-functional thinking to drive and shape program strategy and optimal decisions for the broader portfolio.
• Lead as a change agent and strong representative of the DD PM department vision and ways of working.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS/MBA or Ph.D. desirable) in Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, or other relevant discipline. PMP certification is desirable.
• 12+ years of industry experience, with at least 10 years of direct experience in drug development program/project management.
• Experience in various therapy areas, with demonstrated expertise in nearly all phases of research and drug development, including global regulatory submissions (IND/CTA through NDA/BLA/MAA/JNDA/NDA China) and lifecycle management.
• Proven success delivering complex programs with high enterprise visibility and strong matrix leadership abilities.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to present, influence, and gain alignment at senior governance and executive leadership levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage interdependencies across therapeutic areas, disease areas, functions, and geographies.
• Expertise in core Program Management methodologies and tools, including planning and control, risk management, stakeholder management, and soft skills.
• Ability to resolve critical technical/business problems and shape long-term development strategy for programs of enterprise significance.

Unique Elements

• In addition to matrix management responsibilities, the role may require direct line management of Program Management team members aligned to asset indications.
• May serve as a trusted deputy to the Global Program Lead (GPL).

Pay

Starting compensation ranges for this full-time role:

• Cambridge Crossing: $217,250 - $263,258
• Princeton, NJ: $193,980 - $235,056

Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate accounts for required skills, job location, work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience.

Schedule

This role follows an occupancy structure based on job responsibilities:

• Site-essential roles: Require 100% of shifts onsite at the assigned facility.
• Site-by-design roles: Eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at the assigned facility. Onsite presence is critical for collaboration, innovation, productivity, and culture.
• Field-based and remote-by-design roles: Require physical travel to visit customers, patients, or business partners and attend meetings as directed.
