Program Manager III - Teaching Kitchen Operations
About the role
As a Program Manager III at Cleveland Clinic, you will oversee the operations and ongoing management of the Community Teaching Kitchen at the Langston Hughes Community Health and Education Center.
Responsibilities
- Manage the kitchen schedule
- Cook and coordinate shared medical appointment activities
- Maintain safety standards
- Order and monitor supplies
- Serve as the primary liaison with leadership teams utilizing the space
- Collaborate with internal departments and community partners
- Provide coaching and mentorship to staff
- Participate in budget planning and management to support program goals
- Ensure the successful operation of the teaching kitchen
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field and five years of related experience OR Master’s Degree and four years of experience
- Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree, Healthcare settings experience, experience in dietetics, culinary arts, nutrition services, or hospitality services, Background in food service management, dietary services, and/or nutrition programs
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment. In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system. In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures

- Develop, implement, manage, and maintain operational systems and activities
- Serve as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside the community
- Manage multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines
- Allocate time to meet completion requirements
- Serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department
- Review and monitor adherence to Human Resources policies and corporate compliance procedures
- Teach Kitchen facility management and coordination of programs, staffing, scheduling and resources
- Collaborate with clinicians, educators, patients, community members and other stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation and execution
- Maintain food safety and sterilization standards
- Adhere to healthcare safety and infection-prevention standards
- Oversee facility inspections and food service regulatory compliance
