This is a fully remote role supporting our GMP Lab in Middleton, Wisconsin. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and able to pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening.

About the role

As a Program Manager III, you will manage client relationships and ensure the on-time delivery of program objectives. You will oversee program coordination, monitor project status, ensure adherence to timelines and budgets, and align project goals to meet program needs. This role acts as the primary liaison between the client, business development, and the project team, facilitating information flow and ensuring project deliverables meet customer expectations and financial commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate routine client-facing meetings and attend internal meetings.
  • Coordinate client visits in tandem with Business Development and Lab Operations management.
  • Support and lead the program governance model.
  • Oversee complex stability launch coordination.
  • Manage FTE project setup, monitoring, and completion, including client project prioritization.
  • Establish project status trackers, distribute them to the project team, and review output to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Evaluate and escalate risks across projects, monitoring and soliciting feedback.
  • Manage projections and forecasts for large FTE programs, adhering to client budgets and utilization targets; adjust forecasts or project priority weekly as necessary and communicate routine FTE utilization and spend.
  • Manage the contract process with Business Development, own individual client project contract renewals, ensure appropriate review from relevant stakeholders, and drive new opportunities from existing clients.
  • Provide training and support to Program Manager I and II, driving consistency with program management processes.
  • Respond to client inquiries and lead client communications to manage expectations and execute program deliverables in collaboration with Laboratory Operations management.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the client management team and Laboratory Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
  • Strong science and/or business acumen.
  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proven analytical skills and demonstrated compliance with procedures and policies.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively in a stressful environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in project management.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multi-level teams in a fast-paced, undefined environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in FTE project management, including financial responsibilities such as forecasting FTE (strongly preferred).

  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
  • Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours.
  • Proficient in using and learning standard office equipment and technology.
  • Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
  • May require travel (details to be provided by the recruiter).
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.
