About the role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Fleet Transition Management (FTM) team's mission

The FTM team's mission is to steer, shape, and land product transitions into Google fleet at scale, with minimal disruption to capacity delivery by collaborating across cloud supply chain operations, engineering, and Google product areas. FTM team is a part of the Global Infrastructure Group (GIG) that is responsible for driving optimal fulfillment and transforming Google’s fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct bug reviews, including the triage of stale or aging bugs per Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and maintain cadence of status and stakeholder presentations.
  • Drive data-informed decision-making by preparing operational reviews and workflow metrics, alongside managing executive presentation preparations. Improve data analytics when the process iterates.
  • Identify opportunities to implement automation tools, advocate team-wide AI adoption, and drive continuous process improvement to enhance team efficiency and deployment capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 5 years of experience in program or project management, experience in the data center operations or technology industry, experience with analytics, process workflows and creating operational efficiencies.
  • Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
