Program Manager III, Machine Delivery and Deployment, Cloud Supply Chain

About the role

The Machine Operations and Deployment Engineering (MODE) team is accountable for the orchestration and enablement of compute and storage builds from order creation, constraints enforcement, and infrastructure mapping through to deployment. The team focuses on timely execution, proactive exception management, governance, and drive delivery policies and transformational programs to enable success for customers and Google.

Responsibilities

• Own on-time delivery performance of compute and orders.
• Drive efforts to improve efficiency, cycle times, reliability, predictability and on-time delivery.
• Communicate health, status and actions to stakeholders including product areas, management, and partner organizations.
• Collaborate across organizational levels and boundaries.
• Oversee and ensure successful execution and delivery of plans and strategies.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify risk areas, and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience in supply chain planning, manufacturing, or data center operations.
• Experience analyzing data and creating reports with spreadsheets.

Preferred qualifications

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• 5 years of experience in supply chain or large-scale operations.
• Experience in client services engagement, with passion for customer service.
• Ability to manage increasing levels of responsibility and independence.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills, with attention to detail.
• Passion for functioning in an ambiguous, evolving engineering operations environment.

Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud computing and data center operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Benefits

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $159000 - $231000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
