Job Responsibilities

The Program Manager III serves as the South Carolina Aeronautics Commission's Program Manager of Airport Development and Deputy Director of SC Aeronautics. This position is responsible for directing and administering statewide airport development, grant management, and airport maintenance programs that support South Carolina's public-use airport system. This position provides leadership and oversight statewide aviation infrastructure investments, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, engineering standards, and agency objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, airport engineering, aviation management, construction management, or a closely related field.
• Candidate must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina or possess the ability to obtain South Carolina licensure within six (6) months of employment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be capable of statewide travel.

Qualifications

• Experience with relevant software including Microsoft products, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare technical reports, presentations, correspondence, and policy recommendations.
