Seattle Children’s delivers superior patient care, advances new discoveries and treatments through pediatric research, and serves as the pediatric and adolescent academic medical center for Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.

About the role

The Program Manager II manages a specific complex program or group of complex programs in a specialty/functional area, including scheduling and budgeting activities. Collaborating with leaders, they implement the program's objectives to support identified goals and continuous improvement. This role ensures program effectiveness, mobilizes stakeholders, and leads interdepartmental activities for ongoing program operation and implementation. The Program Manager II identifies strategic opportunities to enhance or expand the program and presents proposals to management. They oversee the execution of initiatives critical to the program's success, including communication with internal and external stakeholders, and lead teams to support program objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex programs, including scheduling and budgeting activities.
  • Collaborate with leaders to implement program objectives in support of organizational goals and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure program effectiveness and mobilize stakeholders for continuous improvement.
  • Lead interdepartmental activities to ensure ongoing program operation and implementation.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to enhance or expand the program and present proposals to management.
  • Oversee the execution of initiatives essential for program success, including communication with all stakeholders.
  • Lead teams in support of program objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a lead role overseeing program/project management.
  • Four (4) years of experience working on quality and process improvement projects with cross-functional teams, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proven record of project completion, program planning, execution, and status reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, committees, activities, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Large scale/enterprise event planning experience.
  • Committee or project coordination experience.
  • Internal communications experience.
  • Master’s in Health Administration, business, or health care-related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead improvement efforts related to strategic goals.
  • Experience working in public health, health care, or social services.

Pay

Compensation range: $107,431.00 - $161,147.00 per year (based on full-time employment of 2,080 hours per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
