Program Manager - Government Contracts

About the role

ND Defense is growing and needs a Program Manager to lead multiple concurrent defense and commercial programs. The ideal candidate will have strong program management skills, experience leading complex programs, and a background in automotive, manufacturing, or a related industry.

Responsibilities

• Own the full program lifecycle — planning, execution, stakeholder management, and performance reporting — across multiple concurrent defense and commercial programs.
• Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules.
• Manage Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Lead Integrated Product Teams across engineering, supply chain, operations, and quality as the primary interface with customers.
• Push an Integrated Product Team (IPT) beyond their capabilities and drive them to achieve goals.

Requirements

• Strong program management skills with demonstrated success leading complex programs of full cross-functional teams to meet or exceed program objectives.
• 5–7 years of progressive program management experience in automotive, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Minimum 2 years of defense program management experience, including DoD acquisition lifecycle, DFARS requirements, and government contract types.
• Scheduling: IMS, Critical Path, DCMA 14 point analysis, EVMS, Financial Budget Management, SDRL/CDRL deliverables, Risk management and mitigation, Scope management.
• Experience managing programs valued at $5M+ across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• PMP certification strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field required.

• U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR120.15).
