About the role

POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Manager for Community Centers will work directly with and report to the Director of Community Impact to oversee and implement a variety of community center programs and activities for community members of all ages in the Blossom Valley/Gilroy/South County areas and across the CCSCC network. This role is key in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and well-functioning environment by monitoring facilities and ensuring compliance with agency policies and applicable regulations. The Program Manager will lead and develop staff, ensuring every community member feels valued, supported, and connected to available resources and services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead activities, projects, and events among multiple agency programs and partners to benefit the Gilroy, Blossom Valley, and other communities.
  • Promote interagency collaboration through effective communication, ensuring stakeholders including community partners are timely informed of programs and events.
  • Facilitate a family-centered, trauma-informed approach to ensure community members receive a seamless welcome.
  • Advocate for the agency and its programs in the community, ensuring that the needs of the families served are represented and addressed.
  • Serve as a key facilitator among programs, leaders, families, and clients, fostering opportunities for seamless program integration into neighborhoods.
  • Stay informed about education, local, state and federal government policies affecting assigned programs and actively advocate for favorable conditions that benefit the communities served.
  • Assist program participants in identifying barriers and issues that interfere with children’s healthy development and readiness to learn and support them in identifying strategies and resources.
  • Monitor program participation and collect data for evaluation and reporting, ensuring decisions are data driven.
  • Collaborate with the Parish Engagement services team to foster partnerships with Diocese of San Jose parishes to expand agency services and address social justice issues effectively.
  • Foster close collaboration with local Parishes to advocate for and amplify community voices and deliver services based on Parish needs, promoting alignment with the agency's mission.
  • Supervise, manage, and coach Community Center Specialists and other site-based staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
  • Conduct regular supervision and team meetings to align priorities, share updates, and address challenges.
  • Oversee assigned program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient allocation of resources to maximize program impact and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with program and development leaders to seek and secure funding opportunities through grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Support assigned grants and contracts to ensure timely completion of deliverables and effective communication with funders.
  • Convene and lead stakeholder groups to address Strategic Plan priorities.
  • Engage in outreach and coordination activities with families in neighboring schools, parishes, and other agencies to promote quality family-centric care.
  • Collaborate with organizations to increase access to asset-building opportunities for clients.
  • Support community leaders in ensuring that program participants have an active role in planning and service delivery.
