Job Overview

The College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) at the University of Cincinnati seeks a Program Manager to support the Music Education and Keyboard Divisions. Reporting to both the CCM Business Office and divisional leadership, the Program Manager plans, coordinates, and administers a wide range of academic, financial, and operational activities in support of divisional programs, faculty, and students.

This position serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external constituents and plays a critical role in ensuring the effective day-to-day functioning of both divisions. This role is currently anticipated as an 100% FTE, negotiable 11–12 month annual appointment. This is an on-site position.

Essential Functions

  • Plan, coordinate, and support academic and co-curricular programs for the Music Education and Keyboard Divisions.
  • Monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward program objectives.
  • Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions, and develop action steps for program improvement.
  • Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports.
  • Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives in collaboration with the CCM Business Office.
  • Manage and analyze enrollment and student data. Compile statistics and prepare reports.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of strategies to recruit students and program participants.
  • Interact with and manage communication among students, staff, faculty, alumni, external agencies, and other university departments.
  • Prepare and distribute communications, including newsletters and outreach materials.
  • Cook up and coordinate events such as recitals, workshops, and divisional initiatives, and support related committees.
  • Contribute to program development, special projects, and other administrative needs as assigned.
  • May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
  • Perform related duties based on departmental needs.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of program coordination experience.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
