Program Manager (Bus Prof) (contract)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary professional to lead the strategic design and execution of enterprise-wide mental health and well-being initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of employees. This role serves as the organizational architect of a comprehensive well-being strategy, partnering with Safety, Operations, Human Resources, Benefits, Labor Relations, and Executive Leadership to foster a culture of psychological safety, resilience, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the company's enterprise-wide mental health and well-being strategy
Design and execute multi-year roadmaps, initiatives, and awareness campaigns
Establish program goals, metrics, and success measures to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
Build leadership capability around psychological safety and mental health awareness across all levels of the organization
Oversee champion networks and employee engagement activities that reduce stigma and promote well-being resources
Coordinate with Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providers, benefits partners, and community organizations
Develop and deliver training programs focused on mental health awareness, resilience, and suicide prevention
Partner with executives, operations, safety, and HR leaders to integrate well-being into safety culture and operational excellence initiatives
Measure program outcomes and continuously refine strategies to improve employee experience and organizational impact
Skills
Strong strategic thinking and program design capabilities with the ability to translate vision into actionable initiatives
Excellent project management and organizational skills with experience managing enterprise-wide programs
Demonstrated facilitation and change leadership skills
Ability to build and maintain cross-functional partnerships at all levels of an organization
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
Deep knowledge of mental health best practices, psychological safety frameworks, and well-being program design
Ability to analyze data and program metrics to drive continuous improvement
Experience developing and delivering training and educational content
Experience 7 or more years of experience leading well-being, culture, safety, or organizational effectiveness initiatives
Experience in unionized environments preferred
Background in utility, energy, manufacturing, or high-reliability industries preferred
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field required
Master's degree in Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Public Health, Counseling, or a related field preferred
Mental Health First Aid certification preferred
