About the role
The Program Manager in the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) supports lines of business in developing and executing strategic roadmaps. This involves capturing strategic visions from business heads, organizing them into executable programs and projects, and managing the overall execution of these programs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business partners to draft strategic plans aligned with the organization's objectives.
- Manage budgets, initiatives, and resource utilization to support strategic visions.
- Develop and maintain trust with business lines and manage people change management plans.
- Decompose strategic plans into programs and workstreams, including complex multi-workstream initiatives.
- Manage and track the Program Portfolio, providing program-level metrics for financials, risks, and resources.
- Identify and resolve dependencies across people, products, and processes.
- Direct and evaluate Program Management vision, building executable projects into the master plan.
- Provide coaching and assistance to other project managers to ensure sound and feasible plans.
- Assess and mitigate risks using Enterprise Risk Management best practices and collaborate with the second line of defense.
- Drive continuous process improvement and maturity opportunities.
- May lead and develop a team, responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.
Requirements
- 7+ years of related experience in Project Management or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and other commercial banking products and services.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, and regulations, industry standards, and practices.
- Advanced experience working on project-based teams.
- Advanced experience in various EPMO functions including governance, resource capacity management, talent development, and technology program management.
- Advanced experience drafting strategic plans.
- Advanced experience communicating with various stakeholder levels, including senior leadership.
- Advanced influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in across multiple customers/stakeholders.
- Advanced financial industry experience preferred.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- Advanced process mapping documentation skills preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- ADKAR certification preferred.
