Responsibilities
- Lead and manage defense programs from initiation to completion, aligning with DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101, and other DoD acquisition policies.
- Apply qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze acquisition programs' effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
- Identify schedule and cost variances and recommend viable corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain project plans; manage resources, risks, and performance metrics to ensure achievement of program milestones.
- Prepare and review program documentation such as Defense Acquisition Executive Summaries (DAES), Monthly Acquisition Reports (MAR), and acquisition briefs.
- Provide high-quality written and oral communications, including reports, acquisition strategies, and senior-level briefings.
- Cross-functional Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead interdisciplinary teams that include engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and logistics.
- Serve as the interface between stakeholders and program teams, ensuring alignment of expectations and goals.
- Adhere strictly to DoD and Air Force security protocols when handling sensitive or classified information.
- Track and manage program budgets, ensuring proper resource allocation and financial efficiency.
- Support reviews such as Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Integrated Master Plan/Schedule (IMP/IMS) assessments.
- Proactively identify and implement process enhancements to improve acquisition outcomes.
Requirements
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
- Certifications: PMP certification is highly desired
- Experience: 5+ years managing complex DoD or federal programs, 2+ years in a leadership or senior program management role
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition systems, policies, and lifecycle processes
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing programs within scope, schedule, and budget
- Expertise: Expertise in creating and maintaining acquisition documentation
- Leadership: Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a DoD environment
- Security: Applying cybersecurity and systems engineering best practices
