Program Manager, Accounting Transformation, Finance & Business Integration
About the role
This Accounting Manager will join Amazon’s Finance and Business Integration team, working closely with accounting operations, business, finance, and technology teams to implement systems that automate financial flows for our Stores business. The role supports and directly influences the launches of some of Amazon’s newest global business initiatives, representing accounting while collaborating with diverse teams to deliver scalable, secure, and flexible financial solutions.

Responsibilities
- Partner with accounting and technology teams to develop and own implementation strategies for large, multi-year accounting automation programs.
- Own and manage lifecycle activities—planning, requirements gathering, technology partnerships, UAT planning and execution, project closing, and stakeholder engagement—for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Lead automation projects, designing processes and tools to streamline and improve the accuracy of financial statement processes.
- Support Amazon’s business expansion by ensuring controlled processes are implemented to maintain material correctness of financial statements.
- Act as a consultant to various stakeholder teams across Amazon, making empowered, impactful decisions to drive projects to completion.
- Collaborate with Amazonians of diverse backgrounds to tackle unusually complex challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
Qualifications
- Deep experience in accounting, program management, and finance systems.
- Experience with financial processes, project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex challenges.
- CPA certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
- Experience in accounting management at a Big Four firm with Fortune 500 clients (preferred).
- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.

- USA, CA, Culver City: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, MA, Boston: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, OR, Portland: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, TN, Nashville: $85,900.00 - $146,900.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Austin: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
Compensation package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
