Program Manager, Accounting Transformation, Finance & Business Integration

Amazon’s Finance and Business Integration team is seeking an Accounting Manager to drive automation of financial flows for our Stores business and support the launch of new global initiatives.

About the role

In this role, you will represent accounting while collaborating with business, finance, and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and flexible financial solutions. You will operate in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, requiring strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with accounting and technology teams to develop and implement multi-year accounting automation programs.
• Own and manage lifecycle activities for multiple projects, including planning, requirements gathering, technology partnerships, UAT planning, project closing, and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead automation projects to design processes and tools that simplify and improve the accuracy of financial statement processes.
• Support Amazon’s business expansion by ensuring controlled processes to maintain materially correct financial statements.
• Act as a consultant to diverse stakeholder teams across Amazon.
• Make impactful decisions to drive projects to completion.
• Collaborate with Amazonians from varied backgrounds.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Deep experience in accounting, program management, and finance systems.
• Experience with financial processes, project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing.
• Proven ability to lead teams through complex challenges.

Qualifications

• CPA certification.
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
• Experience in accounting management at a Big Four firm with Fortune 500 clients.
• Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.

• USA, TN, Nashville: $85,900 – $146,900 USD annually
