About the role
A sustainability strategy team is seeking a Program Manager on a contingent basis to support the senior technical and strategic leads. This role involves program management, coordination, and analytical and reporting tasks. The position requires experience in managing concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment, working with large datasets, performing analytics, and communicating insights to various audiences.
Responsibilities
- Drive day-to-day execution across active workstreams, tracking milestones, dependencies, and risks.
- Develop and maintain program management artifacts, including roadmaps, trackers, and status reports for leadership forums.
- Support the preparation and facilitation of team meetings and cross-functional syncs by building agendas and capturing action items.
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting cadence, including execution updates and presentation creation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain data and process flows.
- Contribute to the triage and response of incoming research, data, and analytical requests.
- Track progress against targets and benchmark performance against internal KPIs.
- Support data pulls, quality assurance, and validation to keep reporting and analysis on schedule.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree in social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, accounting, statistics, business, environment, or a sustainability-focused field.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, business operations, or project coordination, supporting technical or data-oriented teams.
- Familiarity with corporate GHG emissions accounting concepts (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and emissions forecasting.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel and presentation creation, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of current practices in greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability reporting.
- Experience using data access tools like Tableau and Excel for building visualizations from large datasets.
- Experience with a scripting or query language such as SQL or Python.
- Familiarity with external reporting standards such as CDP, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, or SASB.
- Experience working within large, matrixed organizations.
