Responsibilities

  • Lead overall program execution to achieve cost, schedule, quality, and customer-satisfaction objectives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain workload forecasts and resource plans across multiple programs to optimize capacity and staffing.
  • Coordinate closely with customers to communicate program status, manage expectations, resolve issues, and support contract execution.
  • Identify, assess, and track program risks and opportunities; develop effective mitigation plans.
  • Monitor program performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and executive dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to ensure successful program execution.
  • Support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and earned-value reporting.
  • Drive continuous-improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and standardize business processes.
  • Develop and implement automated reporting and workflow solutions using:
    • Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas and dashboards)
    • VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
    • Microsoft Power BI
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Microsoft Power Automate

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Program Management, Project Coordination, Business Operations, or Engineering within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex programs simultaneously, including customer coordination, project scheduling, resource planning, workload forecasting, and risk management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, and data analysis).
  • Experience developing automation solutions using VBA, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Automate.

Qualifications we prefer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
  • Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices, quality standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Experience within FAA, AS9100, or aerospace quality environments.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial performance reporting.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous-improvement tools (CORE/ACE/Six Sigma, QCPC, RCCA).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, shop personnel, and customers.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range reflects all experience levels; RTX considers role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills when extending an offer.
