Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles, policies, and practices (DoDI 5000.2), including understanding DoD and Air Force roles to provide strategic and tactical program planning (short-, mid-, and long-term).
- Aid the program manager in assessing schedule and cost baselines, recommending solutions, and pursuing alternate courses of action.
- Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition for development, production, and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment; develop strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate meetings with program office teams, stakeholders, and industry to understand program requirements and emerging commercial technologies addressing warfighter capability gaps.
- Formulate, recommend, and draft acquisition strategies and associated statutory/regulatory acquisition documentation in a timely manner.
- Support all Acquisition Strategy reviews, develop supporting documentation, and assist the Government in drafting and reviewing Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.
- Sustain program management reviews, senior-level meetings/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews; develop briefings and schedules for program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
- Analyze program operations and implement approved process improvement initiatives.
TSSCI Clearance Required
- Possess the ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processes related to their assigned tasks.
- Possess strong communication skills and utilize those skills to build relationships with supported customers.
- Experience with SharePoint to include managing, uploading and editing program data and files.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications
- BA/BS and 10 Years of experience in the respective discipline being performed, of which 3 must be in DoD.
