Program Management Advisor

As a faith-driven organization, we start each day with devotions and prayer, and our Statement of Faith shapes all we do. In the role of Program Management Advisor, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Review and provide feedback on project proposals and reports from a program management perspective to promote adoption of effective program management principles.
• Build rapport with, coach, and develop core competencies in staff serving in program management and program development roles in field offices.
• If required, serve on the Incident Management Team (IMT) and potentially deploy on Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DARTs) in a program management role to ensure good program management practices are followed and to facilitate coordination between Program Manager and Information Officer roles.
• Develop tools, templates, and resources for Samaritan's Purse field office teams to promote adoption of recommended program management principles.
• Deliver virtual and on-site trainings for field office staff on program management topics.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with three to five years of experience in humanitarian disaster relief and humanitarian development work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.

• Ability to apply thorough knowledge of humanitarian project cycle management across disaster response and recovery programming, including strong analytical and strategic thinking to assess complex project issues and develop effective solutions.
