Program Leader

About the role

This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and organizing recreational programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning of events and activities
• Assist with the execution of events and activities
• Interact with patrons to ensure a fun and entertaining experience
• Provide a safe environment for our patrons
• Be aware of and enforce all City of Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts policies and guidelines
• Carry out any assigned responsibilities relating to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department as directed by the Coordinator, Supervisor or designee

Qualifications

• An enthusiastic attitude
• The ability to work with children three years of age and older
• A creative approach
• Initiative and assertiveness
• Well-organized and capable of planning and promoting a wide variety of youth activities
• A customer service orientation and ability to communicate with the public verbally
• Two years’ related work experience, preference given to those with leadership experience and/or training

Pay and Schedule

Pay range is $11.40 per hour to $13.80 per hour. Entry rate is contingent upon candidate’s related skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Schedule

Seasonal and part-time employees have access to a flexible schedule.
