Program Instructor (Hourly) - Camp Cullen
Brief Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and co-workers and provide excellent customer service.
- Present in clean, designated uniform with impeccable hygiene.
- Acknowledge guests' needs and provide effective and efficient solutions.
- Ensure security for the YMCA, ensuring the safety of guests and co-workers.
- Respond to inappropriate behavior, threats, or dangers.
- Complete Incident Reports for all incidents within the Y.
- Follow YMCA policies and safety procedures.
- Understand and follow emergency procedures.
- Report facility needs and call maintenance or log work orders.
- Plan and teach Outdoor Education and Recreation Programming.
- Lead activities such as archery, zipline, riflery, climbing towers, team building, etc.
- Apply good teaching and leadership skills to provide quality instructions.
- Carry, transport, and use necessary equipment during activities.
- Develop rules and procedures for program areas.
- Maintain or improve equipment and facilities.
- Safeguard guests, students, and participants.
- Maintain facilities cleanliness and presentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
