Position Details
Location: Lakehurst, NJ
Schedule: Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: Starting at $20.70 per hour
Bi-weekly pay schedule
Overtime opportunities available
Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and supervision to individuals participating in adult day and vocational programming.
- Aid in the implementation of daily activities designed to promote skill development, independence, communication, and community participation.
- Support individuals with personal care needs, daily living activities, and medication assistance when required.
- Encourage participation in vocational training, educational activities, and recreational opportunities.
- Assist individuals in achieving personal goals outlined within individualized service plans.
- Transport participants to community activities, volunteer opportunities, appointments, and other program-related outings using agency vehicles.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and person-centered environment at all times.
- Complete electronic documentation, daily notes, attendance records, and other required program records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with coworkers, supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes for participants.
- Promote dignity, respect, independence, and self-determination for all individuals served.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid New Jersey driver's license required, with no more than five (5) points.
- Must be comfortable driving a 10-12 passenger agency vehicle.
- Demonstrated employment stability preferred, including at least one year with a previous employer.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is welcomed but not required.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
