About the role
The Space Systems Sector of L3Harris Technologies’ Space Superiority and Imaging segment has an opening for a Program Financial Analyst to join our team in Rochester, NY. This position is responsible for directing financial control of large and/or complex programs. As a key business partner to Program Managers and functional teams, you will establish and maintain the program’s financial plan, performance analyses, and prepare reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the financial plan for assigned programs, including performing earned-value analysis and preparing customer reports.
- Collaborate with Program Management, FP&A, Accounting, functional support departments, and customers as the primary source of all financial information for assigned programs.
- Prepare monthly forecasts for Orders, Sales, Operating Income, Cash Flow, and Working Capital.
- Serve as the financial expert for programs, alerting management to potential issues, identifying risks, and proposing solutions.
- Prepare accurate and complete variance analyses with explanations and corrective actions.
- Provide financial analysis for audits and other ad hoc financial activities.
- Work with multiple contract types.
- Interpret performance data on a weekly and monthly basis to provide early indicators of program health.
- Monitor program adherence to approved budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Skills
- 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management concepts, financial performance reporting, and internal/customer reporting.
- Highly motivated worker, comfortable working independently in a deadline-driven environment where accountability and attention to detail are critical.
- Strong Excel capability.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, professional demeanor, and ability to work effectively with peers and senior-level coworkers.
- Experience with Deltek Cobra, Oracle, and Hyperion Smart View considered a plus.
Pay
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $76,500-$141,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
Schedule
9/80 (Every other Friday off).
