Responsibilities
- Overall quality and timely submittal of contract financial deliverables
- Internal financial reporting and analysis
- Program forecasting
- Ensuring audit readiness across all aspects of the program
- Makes decisions and prepares documents related to financial matters
- Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met
- Monitors the status of financial accounts, ensuring that program charges accurately reflect the correct labor hours and rates, subcontractor costs and other direct costs (ODCs)
- Performs analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for programs
- Monitors spending versus plan and notifies management promptly of any overruns/under runs
- Prepares financial reports and forecasts to provide to ensure effective management
- Interfaces with management, responding to their requests for financial data
- Validates and ensures invoices are submitted timely
- Recommends, develops and implements solutions to improve financial management and analysis capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or business management
- Greater than six (6) years of relevant experience with DoD or IC financial processes, procedures and functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Basic knowledge of FAR/DFAR and DCAA requirements
- Demonstrated ability to present financial status/issues to leadership and customers
- Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Desired Qualifications: Proficient with Excel in the use of Filters, Pivot Tables, Formulas; developing Excel Macros and database solutions is desirable
- Experience supporting large National Security programs
- Experience with Cost Type Level of Effort Contracts
- Analysis and detailed oriented
- Knowledge of Costpoint
- Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar
