Program Execution Application & Tools Lead (EVMS Focus)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Program Execution Application & Tools Lead (EVMS Focus) to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will lead the modernization and performance of program execution tools that support scheduling, earned value management, and broader program lifecycle processes. The position focuses on improving operational efficiency, integrating automation and AI-enabled capabilities, and ensuring reliable support for cross-functional business and technology stakeholders. The right candidate will bring a strong technical background and help drive digital transformation across the organization’s program management environment. This is a hands-on leadership role with visibility into tool strategy, system stability, and continuous improvement.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation of program and project management tools by identifying inefficiencies and creating scalable solutions
• Evaluate and enhance AI-enabled capabilities to improve tool reliability and responsiveness
• Partner with IT and business leaders to modernize workflows and integrate automation
• Oversee daily operations of program management tools, ensuring high performance and secure configurations
• Lead upgrades and technology refresh initiatives focused on user experience improvements
• Analyze operational data for continuous improvement and embed AI-driven insights into systems
• Mentor the tools team to strengthen automation skills and support modern operational practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience plus 5-7 years in a relevant role, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
• U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of the work
• Deep understanding of EVMS tools, scheduling applications, and program lifecycle processes
• Experience with AI/ML applications in business operations and automation
• Strong technical systems background, including developer or solutions architect roles

Pay

$116,717 – $126,292 annually
