Program Engineer - Stormwater Management
About the role
The City of Tallahassee is seeking an experienced engineering professional to join their team in advancing stormwater management improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects that improve and protect the City's stormwater infrastructure, helping deliver long-term improvements that benefit the community.
- Guide projects from planning through completion by coordinating with consultants, contractors, City departments, and regulatory partners to keep work on schedule and moving forward.
- Lead and support a team by fostering a safe, collaborative work environment, providing coaching and guidance, and encouraging professional growth.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources while helping ensure work is completed efficiently and in accordance with City policies and applicable regulations.
- Build strong relationships with residents, community partners, and City leadership by sharing project updates, answering questions, and helping communicate the impact of planned improvements.
Requirements
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or a related field) AND five (5) years of professional experience that includes public infrastructure, underground utilities engineering (water, wastewater, and wastewater treatment engineering), stormwater engineering
- OR Possession of a High School Diploma or GED AND nine (9) years of professional experience that includes public infrastructure, underground utilities engineering (water, wastewater, and wastewater treatment engineering), stormwater engineering

Salary Range: From $33.7570 to $91.6022 per hour. (Hiring rate generally will not exceed $70.9090 per hour.)
