Program Engineer, Federal Platform & IT Services

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Program Engineer, Federal Platform & IT Services to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will drive complex technical programs that support secure federal platform and infrastructure operations. You will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define priorities, coordinate milestones, and deliver scalable cloud and security outcomes. The position blends program execution with hands-on technical fluency across regulated environments, infrastructure automation, resilience, and identity modernization.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex federal platform and infrastructure programs from start to finish
• Collaborate with leadership to define program strategies and milestones
• Oversee large-scale cloud projects ensuring security and scalability
• Manage Infrastructure-as-Code operations for GovCloud deployments
• Drive enterprise disaster recovery and resilience initiatives
• Implement Zero Trust identity practices across federal environments
• Ensure compliance with federal and commercial security standards

Qualifications

• 8+ years in federal IT, cloud infrastructure, or regulated environments
• 4+ years leading technical programs or engineering projects
• Experience with FedRAMP, DoD IL4/IL5, and STIG compliance
• Strong AWS cloud services experience; GovCloud knowledge preferred
• Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code technologies
• Proficient in cloud security and automation best practices
• Excellent communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders
