Program Engineer

About the role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a program engineer, you will be responsible for program execution including development and delivery of complex battery products in compliance with technical requirements, program schedule, and program budget.

Responsibilities

• Learn project parameters to formulate appropriate responses to the client.
• Employ change management skills to identify scope creep, and work directly with the PM and our contracts department.
• Analyze information/data to make sound day-to-day decisions.
• Escalate issues when appropriate.
• Contribute to program and participate in team settings.
• Assist the program manager with managing the product line.
• Work with engineering team to coordinate completion of new design tasks.
• Interface with customers on technical topics.
• Assist engineering with troubleshooting batteries.
• Aid production with optimizing assembly and test processes.
• Improve front end and production processes as possible to streamline and automate.
• Document battery test and build processes.
• Assist and backup the program coordinator with material and shipping activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as a program engineer or a similar role (preferably 1-2 years of experience)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Familitarity within an engineering/manufacturing environment that uses lean and six sigma practices is highly preferred
