Program Director - HIRE Coordinator
About the role
The Indiana Department of Correction Division of Parole Services seeks a Regional HIRE Coordinator to enhance public safety by providing community-based supervision and services for adult offenders through evidence-based practices. The role is part of the IDOC Hoosier Initiative for Re-Entry (HIRE) program, focusing on workforce readiness and employer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Outreach activities to identify channel partners and stakeholders
- Development and facilitation of program materials
- Development of strategies to market program initiatives
- Conducting outreach activities to develop and solidify relationships with prospective partners and community leaders
- Advocate for institutional change in employer attitudes toward hiring ex-incarcerated individuals
- Reinforce partnerships with Parole districts to assist with securing post-release employment
Requirements
- Working knowledge in program subject matter obtained through experience and/or education
- Specialized knowledge of program area including pertinent rules and regulations
- Ability to implement new principles and policies and discern any far-reaching implications
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Working knowledge of accounting and budget principles
Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of experience applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role
- A degree is not a standard requirement for this role

Pay
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.
Schedule
This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work.
