About the Role
At Utah Valley University, the General Manager of Wolverine Sports Properties has the unique opportunity to drive revenue growth and build meaningful partnerships that directly support the success of UVU Athletics. This highly visible role combines business development, relationship management, and strategic marketing, leading efforts to identify, secure, and grow corporate sponsorships, advertising agreements, and community partnerships. Working closely with local, regional, and national organizations, the General Manager serves as a key ambassador for UVU Athletics, creating innovative partnership opportunities that connect businesses with the excitement and engagement of Wolverine sports.

Responsibilities
- Identifies and approaches potential sponsors, advertisers, and corporate partners.
- Develops and presents compelling proposals to secure new sponsorships and partnerships and builds and nurtures long-term relationships.
- Maintains regular communication and engagement to ensure ongoing support and collaboration.
- Actively seeks and secures new cash partnerships to support UVU Athletics programs and initiatives.
- Develops innovative programs and initiatives to enhance the value provided to corporate partners.
- Introduces new services or benefits to better serve and engage sponsors.
- Implements client initiatives, regularly reviews effectiveness, and makes adjustments and improvements based on sponsor feedback and needs to ensure high levels of sponsor satisfaction.
- Regularly engages with corporate sponsors through direct communication and addresses any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
- Creates and distributes newsletters to keep sponsors informed and engaged.
- Organizes corporate partner gatherings and events to foster networking and relationship building.
- Oversees the implementation and delivery of partnership agreements.
- Ensures all sponsorship and advertising commitments are met to the highest standards.
- Coordinates with internal teams and external partners to execute partnership activities.
- Monitors and reports on partnership performance and deliverables.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus three years of staff-level experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling seven years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in Sports Business Management; OR a bachelor's degree in Sports Business Management and two years of experience related to the summary of duties with a master's degree to be completed in three years.
