Program Director - Elementary School Based Mental Health Services

About the role

This position provides leadership and oversight for services delivered to elementary schools throughout School District No. 23.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for services delivered to elementary schools throughout School District No. 23.
  • Laid off without benefits during the summer break, reinstated one week prior to the start of the new school year with benefits.
  • Primarily work Monday to Friday, with hours that may fluctuate to accommodate the program's schedule and the needs of the agency and administration.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of child development and mental health principles.

Pay

$5,500 - $ 5,600 per month based on experience and education.

Schedule

Full-Time, 30-hours per-week, primarily Monday to Friday, with hours that may fluctuate to accommodate the program's schedule and the needs of the agency and administration.
